Naritasan Shinsho-ji Temple

Updated: Jun 29

In the heart of Narita, Japan stands Naritasan Shinsho-ji Temple. A sculptor of the Buddhist deity Fudo Myo-o, the main sacred object of worship, was brought here to help end civil war in the year 940. To this day the Ogoma prayer continues daily with its message for world peace.

To subdue evil and terrify noncomformists into accepting Buddhist law, Fudo Myo-o appears fierce and threatening.

Location: Naritasan Shinsho-ji Temple, Chiba Prefecture - Narita, Japan
